Skate Jam 2026 Recap

Hey Ferndale! On Saturday, 06/06/2026 Skate Jam took place in Geary Park and it was a total blast. There were vendors, a bounce house, food trucks, music, and of course, lots of skating. Skateboard, BMX bike, and scooter competitions were held with divisions for ages four through 17 and for adults. Skaters of all ages showed off their impressive skills.

But don't take my word for it, just watch. Ferndale Police and Fire were at the event to keep everyone safe, and Parks and Rec were working hard to make sure everything ran smoothly. The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles even made a surprise appearance. No one knew where they came from or why they showed up, but they were quite the crowd pleasers, and shockingly skilled skateboarders. Thank you to our sponsors Modern Skate and Surf Royal Oak, Vibe Credit Union Ferndale, IEP Urgent Care Ferndale, our wonderful vendors, and all the skaters and spectators.

That's all for now. See you next time Ferndale.
