The genre Afrobeat has been around for a while (give thanks to Fela Kuti) and with famous artists such as Beyonce, Drake and Burna boy elevating the genre it couldn’t be taking the world faster than it is - and well, now it’s catching some buzz on a mainstream level, especially in Brisbane. Joining us on the show, we’re lucky enough to have afrobeat and dancehall artist Slicker1 in the studio along with the creator of Arabanko events and Brisbane Afrobeats Festival.
