Kit + JustCast

JustCast is happy to announce our new Kit integration, which allows our Private Podcast hosts to access automated email marketing services directly through JustCast.

Kit is a fantastic email marketing service that offers custom marketing options and email automation to help you run your private podcast effortlessly. Through JustCast’s Kit integration, you can easily add and remove listeners to your feeds by pulling your Kit subscribers into your JustCast private podcast feed.

For example, someone purchases your course. Kit sends them an automated email with a custom link to your private podcast feed inside an email template you designed. They receive this email directly from you, and you don’t have to lift a finger.

After setting up your Kit and JustCast integration, your listeners gain automated access to your podcast, which improves their workflow and yours. When adding a listener, you also have the choice to notify them automatically through either JustCast or Kit.

Alternately, when someone leaves your membership, their unique link in JustCast can be disabled automatically with this integration.

How to Setup Kit Integration

  • Go to the Kit App Store and scroll to find the JustCast app.
  • Click "Install" to begin the setup.
  • You’ll be redirected to JustCast, where you’ll either:
    • Sign in to your JustCast account, or
    • See a page requesting permission for JustCast to read and write to your Kit account.
  • Click "Grant Access to JustCast" to authorize the connection.
  • You’ll be redirected back to Kit, confirming that the JustCast app is now installed.

Linking Kit Tags to Your JustCast Private Podcast

By linking Kit tags to a JustCast private podcast, you ensure that new tagged subscribers are automatically added and receive their unique feed. Their private feed URL is also stored in a Kit custom field, making it easy to include in emails.

Steps to Add Kit Tags to Your Private Podcast

  • In JustCast, navigate to the private podcast you want to connect.
  • Click Private Subscribers in the left sidebar.
  • Go to the Connections tab.
  • Scroll down to the Kit section and click Settings.
  • Use the dropdown menu to select the Kit tag you want to link to this podcast.
  • Click Add Group to save your selection.

Automate Emails with Custom Fields and Unique RSS Links

You can send unique subscription emails to your JustCast listeners through Kit by using custom fields and automation. Here’s how it works.

  1. A new listener is added to your feed.
  2. JustCast passes their subscription link to Kit.
  3. You send an email to the listener from your email address with a custom design and message along with a unique link to your JustCast.
